The Franklin Bulls got off to a winning start at the Schick Cup 3X3 tournament in Invercargill on Wednesday but dropped their following two games.
The Bulls proved too strong for the Wellington Saints in their opening match of the tournament but dropped their two later games to the Sal’s NBL champion Otago Nuggets and the Auckland Tuatara to finish the day with a one win, two loss record.
They lie seventh in Pool B but with the same record as the fourth placed Waikato University.
The Bulls return to the court on Thursday where they play three more pool games – the first against Whai of Tauranga from 1.05pm, a game against West Coast at 5.05pm and then a final game of the day against Waikato University at 7.05pm.
