The Franklin Bulls record-breaking season in the Sal’s NBL has come to an end after they were beaten 92-67 by the Auckland Tuatara in the semi-finals at Trusts Arena on Friday night.

Playing less than 24 hours after beating the Wellington Saints in the play-in game, the Bulls made a nice start but were overhauled by the number one seeds in the final stages of the opening quarter.

It was largely one-way traffic.

Dan Fotu contributed 14 points to lead the Bulls in scoring and pulled down five rebounds while Jared Wilson-Frame had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists.

The Bulls finished the regular season with their best ever record of 12 wins and six losses and made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

They were terrific in beating the 12-time champion Wellington Saints on Thursday night.
