EnviroNZ Franklin Bulls signing Matt Freeman has signed to play basketball with the PS Karlsruhe LIONS Basketball in Germany.

The 23-year-old power forward/centre missed the entire SalsNBL campaign with the Bulls due to injury.

Freeman played extensively in the United States with the Oklahoma Sooners, playing alongside NBA star Trae Young, as well as UC Santa Barbara.

He played for the Trier Gladiators in Germany last year, averaging nearly 10 points and 4 rebounds a game, with a season high of 24 points.

The Bulls posted the update about Freeman’s future on their social media channels, indicating a willingness to have the Kiwi big man back in the future.

“All the best to our guy, Matt Freeman, who has signed with PS Karlsruhe LIONS Basketball in Germany. Stay safe Matty. Can’t wait to get you on court sometime in the near future,” the post read.
