Three players from Counties Manukau clubs have been included in the Northern Districts Cricket’s men’s team to play the Ford Trophy opener against Canterbury in Hamilton tomorrow.
Pukekohe Metro batsmen Katene Clark and Bharat Popli join Manukau City opener Jeet Raval in the Brave side to begin the 50-over competition.
Former Black Caps test opener Raval made the move south to link with Counties Manukau and Manukau City last summer while Popli has returned to Pukekohe Metro this season after a couple of seasons in the Bay of Plenty.
He will continue to play rep cricket for Bay of Plenty however.
The game begins at 11am.
