He was a Counties Manukau Rugby and Bombay Rugby Club member and used to report on their games in the early days when he first wanted to become a reporter. A few years ago, he had achieved a life-time goal of releasing a novel.

“Rex had a passion for local community news and I hope that all that I had learn from him will serve me and my community well in the future. Rest in peace my friend and thank you for your advice over the years.”
