Thoroughbred Softball Club has completed another phenomenal season in the Counties Manukau competition, collecting five championships and doubling the number of teams playing.

The 2023-24 season has seen the club go from five teams to 10 with entries in U7, U9, U11, U13, three U15, U17, Women and Men’s grades.

Both the senior Women’s and Men’s team completed threepeats, winning their competition yet again while they also added a title in the U15, U13 and U11 grades to boot.

The club supplied six players to the International Softball Academy in Australia this year while four players were selected to represent the NZDsox (New Zealand Development).

A staggering 27 players were picked in Counties Manukau rep teams while seven members of the club were chosen to represent Counties Manukau in coaching, management or scoring roles.

It is just the third season back competing for the Whanau-based club.
