Three Papakura Athletics and Harrier Club members have become national champions at the Athletics New Zealand Track and Field Championships held in Wellington.
Javelin thrower Douw Botes won gold in the senior javelin with a best throw of 63.76, which was by far the biggest throw of the event.
Joseph Dunn picked up the gold medal in the U20 men’s 110m hurdles while Paige Fletcher won the gold medal in the U18 hammer throw.
