Pukekohe Softball Club is preparing for arguably the biggest day in the club’s history with clubs from all over Auckland visiting this Saturday.

A total of nine games will be played across the three diamonds on Colin Lawrie Fields with all Auckland Reserve Grade teams taking part.

Iconic clubs likes Auckland United, Ramblers, Auckland Marist, Waitakere Bears, Roosters, Northcote, Howick and Otahuhu will join Pukekohe in competing on the day – many of those clubs visiting Pukekohe for the first time.

“We’re going to up our game catering for this event and the committee will be joined by a small army of Div 1 volunteers to run barbecues and help clear glasses etc. throughout the day,” a post on the club’s Facebook page said.

“This is also a day for the whole club to enjoy. We would love to see crowds of spectators on the day. The club rooms will be open and there will be some really exciting games to watch. The perfect way to spend a late spring afternoon with the family.

“We’ve lined up some other special events for the day which will be communicated via the coaches.

“Saturday will be pretty epic and a great day out for the whole family. We’ll be posting further details on the menu and activities.”
