The Franklin Bulls have re-signed foundation player Dom Kelman-Poto for the 2024 Sal’s NBL season.

Kelman-Poto played the inaugural 2020 campaign with the Bulls during the COVID-disrupted Sal’s NBL Showdown before heading south to the Southland Sharks in 2021-22.

He made a successful return to the Bulls last season, improving as the season went on and earned a Breakers contract on the back of his form.

“We are very happy that we have Dom back in the team,” said incoming Bulls coach Sebastian Gleim.

“He made a big step forward last season. He is a unique player who is able to attack on different ways, from different positions.”

He joins a roster that includes big man Sam Timmins, swingman Isaac Davidson and shooting guard Ethan Rusbatch.

Kelman-Poto, a Tall Blacks 3×3 star, is renowned for his big personality and colourful hair and has quickly become a fan favourite in Pukekohe.

“Dom is a great guy and our fans love him,” said Bulls co-founder Scott Kelso.

“We can’t wait to have him back in the Stockyard, especially re-uniting with Isaac and Sam from the 2020 squad; year five is going to be fun.”
