Pukekohe High School have opened their first ever Basketball New Zealand Secondary Schools National Championships with a 92-77 loss to Christ’s College from Christchurch on Monday.

The tournament, held in Palmerston North, features the best 24 schools in the country.

Pukekohe High School is drawn in Pool D and will face Rotorua Boys High at 2.15pm and then Napier Boys High at 7.30pm on Tuesday at Central Energy Trust Arena.

Also in their pool is Mt Roskill Grammar and St Bede’s College, who Pukekohe High will face on Wednesday.
