Counties Tennis Association has announced they have postponed all 2021/22 Interclub play until February as a result of the COVID outbreak.

An announcement posted on the organisation’s Facebook page confirmed the news.

“Unfortunately, due to current restrictions, Counties Tennis Association has decided to postpone 2021/22 Interclub competition until February 2022,” the post read.

“We still encourage all the players to keep training as playing tennis is possible in level 3.1 as long as Tennis NZ guidelines are followed.”

Tennis NZ guidelines for Alert Level 3.1 include contact tracing, social distancing and basic health protocols with groups of no more than 10 involved across no more than two households.

All tennis has to be conducted outdoors at Alert Level 3.
