Counties have recorded their first win at the Baseball New Zealand U19 Club Championships in Auckland with a 8-0 win over Hutt Valley at Lloyd Elsmore Park on Saturday.
Playing in the consolation bracket, the Counties side dominated the Hornets to earn a first win after three successive defeats against highly ranked opponents.
Counties are set to meet Waitakere in Sunday action with the game getting underway at 9am.
