Counties Baseball coach Mark Irwin has been named as a finalist for two separate categories at the Baseball New Zealand annual awards.
The awards ceremony will be held online this year due to the Covid-19 outbreak and Irwin will have two bites at the cherry after being named as a finalist in the U19 Coach of the Year and U16 Coach of the Year categories.
In both cases he is one of two finalists.
Irwin has been a terrific servant to the Counties club, helping the organisation be named Club of the Year at the 2019 Awards.
Mark’s son Taylor Irwin is one of two finalists in the U19 Player of the Year category after a superb season.
The winners are set to be announced this week.
