It is a busy weekend for local football sides with Easter Weekend serving as a double-header in the LOTTO NRFL Men’s Championship.

Manukau United, fresh off taking a point in their season opener last weekend, face Northern Rovers at home at Walter Massey Park on Good Friday before heading over the bridge to play North Shore United at Allen Hill Stadium on Easter Monday.

Opening week winners Onehunga Mangere United face back-to-back road trips over Easter, heading south to Ngaruawahi United on Good Friday before going in the opposite direction to Stanmore Bay to face Hibiscus Coast AFC on Easter Monday.

Franklin United will seek their first competition points of the first foray into the division, when they head to Phyllis Street to play Metro FC on Good Friday. They then return home to Bledisloe Park in Pukekohe when they host Ellerslie AFC on Easter Monday.

The Men’s Northern Conference begins on Good Friday with the sole local side Beachlands Maraetai AFC starting out on the road against Te Atatu AFC.
