Each week Counties Sports Hub will put together our CMCA form XI based on the Premier results through the season so far.

Rikesh Patel (Manukau City)
The Manukau City opening batsman was back in the runs over the weekend in the Inder Lynch T20 competition. Despite being hobbled by a hamstring strain, he proved a key performer for the champion outfit. His spin bowling offers an extra string to his bow as well.

Terrence Otterson (Karaka) – NEW
The wicket-keeping spot has been a wide open race this season with no one player dominating. We’ve taken a little liberty here as Otterson filled in with the gloves on Sunday and his batting has been super impressive so he takes the spot at least this week.

Sandeep Patel (Manukau City)
Patel’s form has got better and better as the season has progressed and he helped steer Manukau City to victory in the T20 competition thanks largely to his run scoring but also with his useful seam bowling and captaincy.

Luke Williamson (Karaka)
The Karaka captain was in top form over the weekend with scores of 81* and 100* helping Karaka make the final of the T20 tournament. He fell cheaply in the final to prove he is still human but is backing up his MVP-winning campaign from a season ago.

Dan Power (Karaka) – NEW
Power has been knocking on the door all season and wins his spot in the Form XI in a tight battle over the likes of the Marconi brothers, Bharat Popli, Tayden Smit and Sam Saunokonoko. He played well for Karaka over the weekend.

Fraser Farrell (Pukekohe Metro)
Farrell didn’t feature in the T20 competition over the weekend but has been one of the stand-out players in all formats so far this season. He has been a shining light for Pukekohe Metro and produced in key moments.

Scott Johnston (Manukau City)
Johnston was the dominant player over the weekend and helped pave the way for Manukau City to lift the trophy. His bowling has had all players jumping and hopping at the crease and he took the key wickets in the final. His batting also proved vital for Manukau City as his late power hitting helped them post some significant scores.

James Naylor (Manukau City)
Naylor celebrated signing an overseas contract this week with another solid performance in the T20 tournament. He played second fiddle to his Counties Manukau new ball partner but was efficient none-the-less.

Kurt Barnes (Pukekohe Metro)
Barnes continues to be a mark of consistency with the ball, taking wickets and barely conceding runs. He added some important runs up the order for Pukekohe Metro over the weekend as well.

Cameron Hardwick (Pukekohe Metro)
Hardwick had a quiet weekend by his standards as Pukekohe Metro struggled in the shortest form of the game but he still put up impressive numbers. The leg-spinning skipper has been one of the players of the season so far.

Haydon Danford (Southern Counties)
Danford demonstrated his class once again with some key wickets to help Southern Counties win back-to-back T20 games on Saturday and push for a spot in the final. It came to no avail sadly but players are taking notice of the youngster. He edges out teammate Andrew Goodare, Louis Anderson and Michael Schofield.
