Ben Wilson scored a remarkable 203 off just 92 balls to help Tuakau beat Waiuku by a phenomenal 275 runs in their Pool 1 Senior B clash.

Wilson opened the batting and smashed 12 fours and a ridiculous 22 sixes for a strike rate of 220.

It was the highest individual score of the season in Counties Manukau senior cricket.

The Papakura Dinosaurs got a 30-run win over Weymouth to stay in top spot in the standings.

Charlie Hastings’ unbeaten 88 helping the Dinosaurs set a competitive total that was too big for Weymouth, despite 91 from Amrit Pal Singh Korotania.

In Pool 2 action the United Marauders collected a 38-run win over Karaka.

Meanwhile the Weymouth Turtles enjoyed a 49-run win over the Papakura Remarkables in their top-of-the-table clash.

Pukekohe Metro meanwhile scored a narrow one-wicket win over Manukau City Blue.

Chasing 199-5, Pukekohe Metro got there with their last two batsmen at the crease and with just over two overs remaining.

Senior A went back to Manchester Shield 50-overs-a-side action on Saturday and Pukekohe Metro Gold proved too strong for the Papakura Royal Kings, claiming a 37-run win.

Krunal Mishra picked a five wicket haul to help Pukekohe Metro bowl Papakura out and stay in top position in the standings.

Manukau City Gryffindor beat Karaka by 92 runs with Ronney Bajwa scoring 118 and Satinder Singh scoring 81.

Weymouth enjoyed a two-wicket win over the Manukau City Fearless X1 thanks to half centuries from Sandeep Kumar, Bhatti Shehbaz Bhatti and Jagdeep Dhaliwal.

In Pool 2 the Weymouth Eastern Kings beat Papakura Blues by 46 runs. It means the Eastern Kings keep pace with Pukekohe Metro Green atop the standings while Papakura suffered their first loss.

Pukekohe Metro Green crushed the Manukau City Warriors by 10 wickets to remain unbeaten and top of the standings. They bowled Manukau out for just 91 and then the two Pukekohe openers cruised to the target in the 15th over.

The Weymouth Wolves picked up their first win of the competition but were forced to work hard to beat Southern Counties by 55 runs.

Weymouth scored 299-5 with Oscar Taylor scoring 106 and Sam Whimp 89.

In T20 action Pukekohe Metro Potent Punjabis got a six wicket win over Manukau City Zoo in Pool 1.

Simar Gill picked up four wickets for Pukekohe.

Mauku scored an 85-run win over Waiuku. Richard Hogan’s 73 and a 4-12 by Matt Gillard setting up the win.

Weymouth Hardly Athletic proved too strong for United Pirates, picking up a three wicket win.

In Pool 2 the Tuakau Turkeys ensured it was a great day for the club as they comprehensively chased down Karaka’s 170-5 to win their match by six wickets – Aaron Woolfe scoring an unbeaten 103 to help them to the target.

Glenbrook Maramarua rolled Weymouth Grumpy Old Men for just 46 before reaching the target in the sixth over without losing a wicket.

It keeps Glenbrook Maramarua in the top two.

The Pukekohe Metro Punjab Tigers beat Pukekohe Metro Fresh Connection in an interclub battle to stay top of the standings.
