The Franklin Bulls have beaten the Nelson Giants 81-70 at the Franklin Pool & Leisure Centre in Pukekohe on Sunday to make it back-to-back wins in the Sal’s NBL.
The two sides went back and forth at each other through the first half but the home side powered away in the third.
They withstood a couple of mini comebacks from the Giants to seal a win that keeps them in the top four of the table.
Guard Rickey McGill had a big night at both ends, scoring 14 points, grabbing six rebounds, dishing nine assists and picking off five steals.
Jamal Brantley double doubled with 10 points and 10 rebounds while Dan Fotu and 15 points and eight boards.
The Bulls are in action next Sunday against the Manawatu Jets at home.
