A big second half has seen the Franklin Bulls cruise to a 102-72 win over the Southland Sharks in Invercargill and move back to second on the Sal’s NBL table.

After trading baskets in the early going, the Bulls took control in the second half with the injection of bench big man Dom Kelman-Poto providing some offensive spark to go with Rickey McGill’s defensive prowess.

The Bulls had 18 steals on the night with league-leader McGill getting six on his own to go with 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Dan Fotu had 21 points while Jared Wilson-Frame contributed 20.

Kelman-Poto scored 18 points (6-8) while pulling down five boards.

The Bulls play the Otago Nuggets on Sunday as they continue to chase an all-important top two finish.
