Franklin Bulls forward Denhym Brooke has enjoyed a break-out campaign in the 2021 SalsNBL season and he is set for a big pay day and serious interest heading into next season.
Brooke, who has become a fan favourite, has been a shining light for the Bulls in their first season playing in the full NBL and out of their Pukekohe-home.
He has stood out at both ends of the court – proving a threat from deep and someone capable of handling the ball as well as being a fierce blocker at the other end as well.
“Really happy [with my year]. I just tried to do whatever I could to help our team get through,” Brooke told Counties Sports Hub.
“[The season] was good – a great group of guys and an enjoyable year.
“Our core group has been together since February-March so we know each other pretty well and we just had to get it done [despite all the injuries].”
Brooke will become a target of rival NBL clubs for 2022 and the Bulls would love to bring him back next season.
“We will see,” he laughed. “I like it here so I might have to come back.”
