The Franklin Bulls have continued their major recruitment drive for the 2024 Sal’s NBL season by signing Tall Blacks big man Jordan Hunt.

Hunt began his career with the Wellington Saints before helping the Otago Nuggets win the Sal’s NBL Showdown in 2020. Since then he has played for the Hawke’s Bay Hawks but makes the move north to a Bulls outfit that has already made an impact in free agency.

He links up with fellow Tall Blacks Sam Timmins, Ethan Rusbatch and Isaac Davidson and will find a spot in a crowded front court that also includes Tall Blacks 3×3 star Dom Kelman-Poto.

Hunt is currently playing for the Surrey Scorchers in the British Basketball League.

“Jordan Hunt is a very smart player with good experiences in our league,” said Bulls coach Sebastian Gleim. “He played with Ethan and will complete our flexible big man rotation.

“I can’t wait for Jordan to join the team once he completes his time in the UK.”
