The Counties Manukau Stingrays have drawn 16-16 with the Akarana Falcons in their final round robin match of the Women’s Premiership at Navigation Homes Stadium on Saturday.
The draw sees them tied with Akarana for second place on the ladder, but they miss out on a place in the final due to for and against – the Falcons have a superior differential.
They will face Auckland in the competition final.
The Stingrays finish their campaign with two wins, a loss and a draw from their four matches.
The Men’s Stingrays will play Auckland in the Men’s Premiership final at 2pm on Sunday at Navigation Homes Stadium.
