The Otara Scorpions will play in the Fox Memorial Premiership in 2024 after beating the Mangere East Hawks 30-16 in their qualifier on Saturday.

The win ensures the Scorpions progress out of Pool D, along with fellow Counties Manukau sides Otahuhu Leopards and Papakura Sea Eagles, while it consigns the Hawks to a season in the Sharman Cup.

The Leopards beat the Sea Eagles 30-18 at Bert Henham Park.

The Manukau Magpies ensured they remain in the Fox Memorial Premiership for another season with a terrific 16-12 win over reigning Fox Memorial champions Pt Chevalier Pirates.

The Howick Hornets secured their spot out of Pool C, thanks to a 40-10 win over the Northcote Tigers at Paparoa Park.
