The Pukekohe Pythons have committed to entering a women’s team in the Auckland competition this season.

While Covid-19 has hit the sport hard it is encouraging to see the club be able to put together a women’s team.

Trainings are taking place on a Friday from 6.30pm at Pukekohe Stadium Number 2.

Meanwhile Counties Manukau Rugby League is running free sausage sizzles to help keep juniors interested in playing the game while Covid-19 has destroyed the 2020 season.

For the second week running Counties Manukau Rugby League and clubs will host such an event.

This week it will take place at Waiuku League Fields, 32 Hamilton Drive in Waiuku from 4.30pm-6.30pm.

It is open for all ages.
