Pukekohe High School have collected their first win of the Basketball New Zealand Secondary Schools National Championships in Palmerston North after an 82-75 win over Rotorua Boys High on Tuesday.

Jamie Reddish’s side impressed against one of the competition favourites with Noah Campbell leading all scorers with 27 points.

Pukekohe High School then went down to Napier Boys High in their second match of the day – losing 82-59 to fall to 1-2 on the tournament.

They sit fourth on the six-team table with two matches to go.

Pukekohe faces matches against St Bede’s College and Mt Roskill Grammar on Wednesday.
