Talented all-rounder Leon Marconi is moving clubs in 2023-24 and will head north to join his brother Marcel at Karaka.

Marcel Marconi made the move from Pukekohe Metro last season and enjoyed a successful debut season in red. Brother Leon will follow suit this summer as he looks to press for higher honours.

It will give the Karaka side arguably the best top order in the competition as the Marconi brothers join the likes of Counties Manukau men’s skipper Sam Varcoe, rep all-rounder Luke Williamson and experienced batsman Dan Power in what looks a very strong top five.

Karaka picked up both the Duthie Cup one day competition and the Spark Regional Competition last summer and will be a force in all formats again this season.

The season gets underway next weekend with the Inder Lynch T20 first two rounds.
