Papakura City FC have scored a 2-2 draw against Ngaruawahia United at McLennan Park in the first leg of their LOTTO NRFL Division 2 playoff.
Kieran Nevey and Munit Krishna scored the goals for the home side – the first by Nevey on the hour mark from a free kick and the second – a header from Krishna off a Nevey free kick.
The two sides will meet again Ngaruawahia on Saturday with the winner across the two legs gaining promotion to the LOTTO NRFL Division 2 competition this season. The losing side will play in the NRF Championship.
The away goals rule does not come into play and if Saturday’s game finishes in a draw at 90 minutes, extra time will be played.
If there is no winner in extra time, it will go to penalties.
