Sanni Issa and Armin Pasagic scored first half goals to power Manukau United to their first win of the Northern League football season as they beat Northern Rovers 2-0 on Saturday.

The win sees Manukau United jump four points clear of the bottom of the table.

An own goal and a late James Hoyt strike saw Manurewa AFC back into the winner’s circle as they claimed a 2-0 over Waiheke United in LOTTO Division 1 action.

That sees Manurewa move up to a share of second on the table.

Top-of-the-table Onehunga Mangere United continued their dominant start to the LOTTO Division 2 championship as they piled on five goals to thrash Hibiscus Coast FC 5-0.

Gilberto Souza scored a hat-trick in the win while Glen Lewis and Osman Rastagar also had goals.

Franklin United’s winning streak ended with a 1-0 loss to Greenhithe Catimba while Papatoetoe AFC’s lost 5-1 to Northland FC.

Beachlands Maraetai enjoyed a 1-0 win over Oratia United, thanks to a 90th minute goal to Aaron Parry.
