Bombay and Counties Manukau Steelers stalwart Matiaha Martin will play his 100th McNamara Cup for the club in this afternoon’s season opener against Weymouth.
The ex-Blues lock forward has been a mainstay of the Bombay dynasty that has seen the club win five of the past six championships, including the last title decider in 2019.
The 28-year-old made his Steelers debut in 2016 and has been an integral part of it ever since.
Captain of the Bombay side this year, the popular Martin will lead his side out in his milestone match at home at Bombay Domain against the Premiership newcomers.
