Maramarua 1 and Pythons V.S.N will do battle in the Premier Gold final after winning through their respective semi-finals at Pukekohe Netball Centre on Saturday.
The unbeaten Maramarua 1 had little trouble in disposing of St Joseph’s Margie 89-32 in their semi-final as Jody McCort’s team flexed their muscles.
They will be highly motivated to win the final after reaching this point in the competition last season before the COVID out-break forced the cancellation of finals day.
They were set to face Pythons V.S.N last year as well and that match-up will get to happen 12 months on after the Pythons outfit proved too strong for Tuakau 1 in the semi-finals, taking a 62-41 victory.
Patumahoe Blue claimed a convincing 64-42 win over Patumahoe Teal in the battle for fifth and sixth.
Fusion Alpha caused an upset in the Premier Silver semi-finals after beating Maramarua 2 52-36 to book a spot in the decider.
They had to battle just to make the semi-finals but have now made it through to the title game.
Te Kohanga Pango eased into the final on the back of a 62-37 victory over Tuakau A in their semi-final.
The unbeaten Te Kohanga side will look to complete a perfect season after moving up a grade at the midway point.
Whitestar Phoenix overcame Patumahoe White 56-45 in the playoff for the fifth and sixth.
In Premier Bronze, Patumahoe 1 advanced to the final after picking up a narrow 24-22 win over TK Rugby Gold in the first semi-final.
They will meet Maramarua A in the decider, who beat Maramarua 3 by 48-17 in the other semi-final.
Fusion Warrior claimed fifth place thanks to a narrow 27-25 victory over Patumahoe Yellow.
