Maramarua 1 has made a strong start to the Counties Manukau Premier League netball competition with a pair of wins from their opening two games.

The Pukekohe Netball Centre champions have accounted for Sunnyhills and Mellons Bay across the opening two weekends of action to top the standings.

Both of those two clubs (both from Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre) have picked up a win apiece to go with their losses to Maramarua.

Livewires (Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre) and MONC (Mangere Otahuhu Netball Centre) have a win each from their opening two matches – Livewires proving too strong for Waiuku Gold (Waiuku Netball Centre) while MONC beat Livewires in their clash.

Round three will be held Friday night at Pulman Arena with Mellons Bay taking on MONC, Sunnyhills battling Livewires and Maramarua 1 facing Waiuku Gold.
