Manurewa AFC have announced Brett McMurdoch as the head coach of their Northern League first team for 2024.

McMurdoch is no stranger in Manurewa circles as he previously held the post of Director of Football and is one of the club’s Academy coaches.

He takes over from Paul Marshall and after one of the best seasons in club history, which yielded a top four finish in the Northern League and a solid season in the National League.

“I look forward to continue helping build the community of Manurewa with the first team and the u23s and keep on developing the pathway for all ages of players to be able to play the highest levels possible of football while still living in their neighbourhood,” McMurdoch said.

“It is my aim the first team will be great role models for all younger players at the club to aspire to be like in football and in life.”
