The Otahuhu Leopards bounced back from last week’s loss to be the sole South Auckland side to secure a win in the Fox Memorial Premiership over the weekend.

The Leopards ran out 28-12 victors over the Marist Saints at Bert Henham Park on Saturday.

The Papakura Sea Eagles went down 12-6 in a close one against the Richmond Bulldogs at Grey Lynn Park.

The Manukau Magpies fell to Glenora Bears 16-10 at Moyle Park while the Howick Hornets lost to the Pt Chevalier Pirates 22-12.

The struggles continue for the Mangere East Hawks as they lost to the Te Atatu Roosters 36-12 at Walter Massey Park.

The Leopards and Hornets have two wins and one loss on the season while the Sea Eagles and Magpies have one win and two losses.

The Hawks prop up the table with an 0-3 record.

The Otara Scorpions continued their winning start to the Sharman Cup as they New Lynn Stags 50-12 at Ngati Otara Park.

The Pakuranga Jaguars got their first win of 2023 when they accounted for the Glenfield Greyhounds 30-6 at Sunnynook Park.

The Manurewa Marlins fell to the unbeaten Northcote Tigers 16-12 while the Papatoetoe Panthers lost 24-12 to the Ponsonby Ponies.

In the Women’s Premiership, the Otara Scorpions continued their strong start to the 2023 season with a 30-6 win over the Otahuhu Leopards.

The Manurewa Marlins had a narrow 22-20 loss to City Rugby League on Wednesday night while Howick had the bye.
