Pukekohe teenager Liam Lawson has lived out the first part of his long-held Formula 1 dream with an introduction at Scuderia Alpha Tauri.
Lawson, who cruelly missed out on winning the German DTM series earlier this month, had his first ever Formula 1 seat fitting with the Red Bull- backed outfit.
The team posted a photo of a beaming Lawson sitting in one of their cars, captioned with: “You never forget your first F1 seat fit! Liam Lawson getting comfy in preparation for his young driver test with us in Abu Dhabi!”
Lawson will test drive the Alpha Tauri car as part of the Formula 1 Young Drivers Test later in the year.
Lawson has split time between the DTM championship and Formula 2 in 2021.
