Centuries from skipper Luke Williamson and opener Marcel Marconi have powered Karaka to win the Spark Regional Competition final against Pukekohe Metro at Bledisloe Park on Sunday.

Williamson achieved the rare feat of scoring two separate centuries in the same game, having earlier got a 100 in the rained out final earlier in the summer.

He responded by smashing 123 off 118 to help his side reach 288-4 off their 50 overs.

Marconi, playing against his former side, paced the innings with his 101 off 138 deliveries and shared in a 221-run second wicket partnership with Williamson.

Leon Marconi, brother of Marcel, was the pick of the Pukekohe Metro bowlers, claiming 3-55 off his 10 overs.

Pukekohe Metro lost a pair of early wickets but Hamish Farrell (43) and Fraser Farrell (35) gave their side a fighting chance.

Skipper Reid Somani continued the fight, scoring 67 but the Pukekohe Metro chase came up well short of the target, bowled out for 205.

Michael Schofield claimed 3-57 while Stu Kett and Cameron Jerram each picked up two wickets.
