A Tom Vodanovich masterclass has sent the EnviroNZ Franklin Bulls to their second successive New Zealand Basketball League defeat as they went down to the Manawatu Jets 99-84 at Trusts Stadium, Waitakere Tuesday night.

The Tall Blacks forward fired 10 three-pointers on his way to the highest individual score this NBL season as he racked up 43 points and collected 11 rebounds in a superb all-round performance.

It fired the Jets to their fourth win in a row and carried them to the top of the standings.

The Bulls had no answer for Vodanovich.

Dom Kelman-Poto top scored with 21 points while Isaac Davidson notched 16 points and Everard Bartlett and Dru-Leo Leusogi-Ape had 11 points each.

The Bulls slipped to a share of fourth on the table with the loss and have dropped three of their past four contests.

They will look to bounce back Thursday when they face the Taranaki Mountainairs – a side they’ve lost to twice already this season.
