Pukekohe Metro Cricket Club president Harry Chhagan has been recognised for his service to the sport at the ANZ New Zealand Cricket Awards on Thursday night.

Chhagan won the outstanding contribution to cricket award at the sport’s showpiece night, earning selection on the same stage as the likes of Black Caps test skipper Tim Southee, Melie Kerr, Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips.

Chhagan does an enormous amount of volunteer work to make Pukekohe Metro the successful club it is, while still playing a little as well.

Pukekohe Metro are in the final of the Spark Regional Competition and Duthie Cup while they remain in the running for the Inder Lynch T20 title that will determined on Saturday.
