The New Zealand Men’s Futsal Superleague kicks off on Friday at Pulman Arena and will see the country’s best teams playing in a round robin format before Sunday finals.

It presents a perfect opportunity to see quality futsal being played in our own backyard along with some local faces.

Franklin United’s Matthew Lieshout and Stephen Ashby will both be playing as well as Karaka local Marvin Eakins – the trio will line-up for Auckland City Football Club.

The Auckland City side kicks-off the tournament with a match against Capital Futsal from 10am this morning.

They play a second fixture on Friday evening at 7pm against Central Futsal.

Auckland City meets Southern United at 11.30am on Saturday before finishing their round robin campaign against Canterbury United at 4pm Saturday.

Finals take place on Sunday.
