The Franklin Bulls have added big man Matt Freeman to their roster for the remainder of the Sal’s NBL season.

The fourth-placed Bulls had actually signed Freeman for the 2021 season but an injury prevented him from ever taking to the court.

Instead, he will make his Sal’s NBL debut with the Bulls this year.

The 6’10 power forward has spent the past three seasons playing in Germany with Eisbaren Bremerhaven, where he has averaged almost 10 points, five rebounds and a couple of assists, while shooting above 40% from beyond the arc.

“Being able to add a player of Matt’s calibre to our team at this juncture of the season is a major win for the club, in every aspect,” said coach Daniel Sokolovsky.

“Matt is a consummate professional that already understands, and lives the values of the Franklin Bulls organisation. He is joining us in peak form, coming off of a very competitive season in the rigorous German ProA. His size, skill, IQ, and defensive grit will be seamless to integrate, and of massive value to our group.”
