The Counties U19 Baseball side lost its final pool match 5-2 to Central City at the Baseball New Zealand U19 Club Championships at Lloyd Elsmore Park in Auckland Friday.
It means they finish the group stage with a disappointing 0-3 record having been drawn in a tough pool that featured stand-out sides Howick and Bayside.
The Counties side will now move into the consolation bracket for the remainder of the tournament.
They will meet Hutt Valley Hornets in Saturday’s match at 10am.
