Patumahoe Junior Rugby Club president Paul Batters will go for the top volunteer prize in New Zealand Rugby at tonight’s ASB Rugby Awards live on Sky Sport 1 from 8pm.
Batters is one of three finalists in the Charles Monro Rugby Volunteer of the Year category – the award for the greatest volunteer contribution in New Zealand.
On top of running one of the best junior club programs in the country, Batters assists with the senior club as well and puts in a huge amount of time and energy to the club.
Counties Manukau PIC Steelers, Blues and All Blacks representative Dalton Papali’i is a finalist for the Sky Super Rugby Player of the Year alongside All Blacks teammates Aaron Smith and Richie Mo’unga.
