The Patumahoe women continued their strong start to the Women’s 10s Top Six competition as they thrashed Waitemata 44-0 at Clive Howe Field on Saturday.

Anthony Campbell’s side hit top gear early and were never troubled by the visitors in an impressive showing.

“Was good to get back in the winner’s circle at home on sponsor’s day,” Campbell told Counties Sports Hub.

“The girls showed a lot of effort in defence, which was a work on from last week.

“Still a few things to work on, which is exciting, but overall we are happy with the result.”

Weymouth collected a win by default over Marist to continue to push their points tally.

Both Patumahoe and Weymouth hold top four positions.

Manurewa finished their round robin campaign with a 30-24 loss to College Rifles in Coleman Shield action.

They progress to the playoffs having finished round robin play in third place.

Pukekohe were forced to default their final round game against Ponsonby and finish the round robin in fifth place.

Papakura went down to Marist 65-22 in their final round robin game and sit seventh in the standings.

A playoff schedule is due out by Auckland Rugby early this week, but the competition will pause for King’s Birthday Weekend.
