Rosehill College were crowned Girls 10s champions in Counties Manukau Rugby Secondary Schools competition on Friday after beating Pukekohe High School 17-12 in the final.

With a strong crowd watching on at Massey Park, the local side proved too strong in the competition final to lift the trophy.

Tuakau/Onewhero triumphed in the 3rd v 4th battle – beating Papakura High School 31-19 in the playoff match.

Tuakau/Onewhero continued their strong run of form in the Counties Manukau 1st XV competition as they beat Waiuku College 29-14.

Rosehill College picked up a 35-14 win over Pukekohe High School while Wesley College grabbed a narrow 19-17 win over Papakura High School.

Hauraki Plains College beat Alfriston College 10-0.

Pukekohe High School 1st XV scored a 36-8 win over Hamilton Boys in Waikato 1st XV action while Manurewa High School 1st XV lost to Takapuna Grammar 56-0 in the North Harbour 1st XV competition.

Manurewa High had better luck with their girl’s 1st XV, who claimed a 22-5 win over Southern Cross while Wesley College lost to Mt Albert Grammar 57-0.

Pukekohe High proved too strong for Waiuku College 27-7 in Boys U15 Open action.

In other games, Tuakau/Onewhero thumped Rosehill College 77-0 while Papakura High defeated Alfriston College 39-17.

In Boys U14 Open, Tuakau/Onewhero beat Rosehill College 34-17 while Pukekohe High beat Waiuku 36-22.
