Wesley College proved too good for near neighbours Pukekohe High as they took a 19-15 win in their Counties Manukau Rugby Secondary Schools 1st XV competition game on Saturday.

Tuakau/Onewhero continued their winning ways out front as they beat Alfriston College 22-5 while Waiuku had to work hard to get a 20-17 win away to Papakura High School.

Hauraki Plains College edged Rosehill College 9-5.

The results means Tuakau/Onewhero, Waiuku, Rosehill and Hauraki Plains will take four spots.

Wesley College 1st XV picked up a 59-6 win over Rathkeale College in the Central North Island Secondary Schools competition while Westlake Boys hammered Manurewa High 107-0 in the North Harbour 1st XV competition.

Wesley College Girls 1st XV were beaten 89-0 by Auckland Girls Grammar.

Waiuku College edged Tuakau/Onewhero 25-24 in Boys U15 Open action, while Rosehill College beat Alfriston College 29-5.

Pukekohe High School picked up a 64-7 win over Papakura High School.

In Boys U14 Open action, Waiuku College got by Tuakau/Onewhero 24-20 while Pukekohe High hammered Rosehill College 55-10.

Competitions take a pause for the school holidays over the next couple of weeks.
