Kiwi Supercars ace Shane van Gisbergen has enjoyed another successful weekend of racing as he claimed a race win and extended his championship lead at Winton.
The Manukau product and Red Bull Ampol Holden racer took home a win and two second place finishes across the three races at the rural Victorian track.
He was upstaged by Tickford Racing’s Cam Waters, who won the two races Van Gisbergen finished second in and was second in the other to claim the round win.
Van Gisbergen has now opened up a whopping 283-point championship lead over Shell V-Power Racing’s Anton De Pasqualle.
The next round of the championship is in Darwin in mid-June.
