Two Northern Stars netballers have been included in the Silver Ferns and Silver Ferns Development squads named today by coach Noeline Taurua.

Veteran shooter Maia Wilson is the only Stars player included in the 16-strong Silver Ferns Squad while fellow shooter Jamie Hume is the lone Stars player named in the 10-strong Silver Ferns Development Squad that will work together closely over the next year.

Wilson was consistently the best player on court for the Stars during their 2020 ANZ Premiership campaign. The soon-to-be 23-year-old debuted for the Silver Ferns during the 2016 season and has been a regular ever since.

Hume enjoyed mixed results for the Stars but showcased her talent enough to catch the eyes of Taurua.

In her first season with the Stars, Hume played in 13 matches and shot with 67% accuracy.

Both squads will begin training camps in October.
