The Franklin Bulls have fallen back to 2-2 on the Sal’s NBL season after a 89-67 loss to the Canterbury Rams at Pulman Arena on Saturday.

The Bulls were struck a blow before the game with arguably their two best players in Tyrell Harrison and Dan Fotu ruled out.

Having won two on the bounce last weekend on the road, the Bulls came into the contest riding some momentum, but it was the Rams that took control early, taking a five-point lead by end of the first quarter.

The Bulls responded in the second to tie things up at halftime but it was all the Rams in the second spell as they cruised to a comfortable win.

Import guard Rickey McGill had 18 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals while Dom Kelman-Poto contributed 10 points and eight boards in his first start of the season.

The Bulls are back home at Franklin Pool & Leisure Centre next Sunday when they host the Auckland Tuatara.
