Pukekohe Metro took out the Premier 2 one day final on Saturday after they beat Papakura by four wickets at Bruce Pulman Park.

After sending the home side into bat, Pukekohe Metro bowled Papakura out for 198.

Charlie Hastings continued his strong season with 56 but Deepak Chauhary’s 5-29 proved telling.

A composed 82 not out from Chaudhary ensured Pukekohe were able to safely reach the target with four wickets and 16 overs in hand.

In Senior A action, the Punjab Manukau Warriors defeated Weymouth Blue by two wickets in a close match at Mountfort Park while the Papakura Heat hammered Weymouth Wolves by 182 runs.

In T20 play, Tuakau picked up a 10-run win over Clevedon in a high scoring contest. Weymouth Hardly Athletic edged Pukekohe Metro Punjab Tigers by two wickets at Colin Lawrie Fields while the Pukekohe Metro Potato Peelers beat Weymouth Grumpy Old Men by four wickets at the same venue.
