Old foes Pukekohe Metro and Karaka will square-off in the Spark Regional Competition final at Bledisloe Park on Saturday as each team looks to be crowned best in the region.

The two Counties Manukau clubs finished top in their respective pools in the regional competition that includes Premier sides from Hamilton and Waikato Valley.

Last weekend’s scheduled semi-finals were washed out due to bad weather, meaning the top qualifiers progressed to the decider.

Pukekohe Metro – the defending champions – earn the right to host the final having scored more competition points than their rivals.

With two local clubs qualifying for the final, Counties Manukau Cricket has had to re-schedule the final round and final of the Inder Lynch T20 competition, which had been set for this weekend.

Instead, that will be played in March, with the four other local clubs now playing a round of the Duthie Cup one-day competition on Saturday instead.
