Counties Sports Hub will livestream the Premier Gold final at Pukekohe Netball Centre on Saturday between Maramarua 1 and Pythons V.S.N.
The two leading sides in this year’s competition will square off in an eagerly anticipated final, more than 12 months in the making, from 12.30pm on Saturday with coverage live on the Counties Sports Hub Facebook page.
The two sides had been set to contest the final last year before a COVID outbreak in the week leading into the decider sent the Auckland region into and extended lockdown.
Thankfully COVID has not had as big an impact this season and the two sides will finally get to play for the trophy.
Maramarua 1 will start as slight favourites, having gone through the season unbeaten. They claimed a narrow win over Pythons a fortnight ago in the final round robin game but Pythons will fancy their chances in a winner-takes-all final.
Te Kohanga Pango and Fusion Alpha will contest the Premier Silver Final at 10.30am while Patumahoe 1 and Maramarua A meet in the Premier Bronze Final at 9am.
