Counties Manukau Steelers loose forward Alamanda Motuga is the second local player in a week to link up with the Moana Pasifika Super Rugby franchise for 2022.

Motuga has really impressed since making his Steelers debut in 2020 and projects to be a really good signing for the new franchise’s inaugural season.

The 27-year-old Ardmore Marist player has represented Samoa in Sevens for the past five years and made his full international 15-a-side debut for the Samoan national team this year.

He follows in the footsteps of former Wallaby international Sekope Kepu in linking with the fledgling outfit.

A number of Counties Manukau Steelers are tipped to be in the running for a contract with Moana Pasifika.
